What is Celebrex?

Celebrex is the generic name celecoxib, and is marketed by Pfizer. He is a member of the class of drugs called anti-inflammatory drugs known as NSAIDs. She and other NSAIDs are used to treat pain and inflammation. Celebrex is a popular drug that is widely prescribed to over 29 million people since the FDA approved in 1998. Sales of Celebrex have resulted in huge profits for Pfizer. Celebrex has been prescribed for the treatment of acute pain, discomfort, symptoms of various forms of arthritis like osteoarthritis, enclosing spondylitis and rheumatoid arthritis, menstrual pain and more serious. Celebrex is what is known as an inhibitor of COX-2.
